Urszula Bock (mezzo-soprano) was born and raised in Poland. She moved to the United Kingdom to study singing at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where she completed BMus (Hons) (Voice) under Margaret Field and MMus Performance & Pedagogy (Voice) under Christine Cairns. Furthermore, she trained in Associated Studios, London where she worked with renowned coaches and conductors such as Brad Cohen, Robin Newton, Philip Headlam, Alexander Crowe, Elizabeth Rowe, Mary Hill. Urszula is currently studying privately the Lamperti Method with Richard Lloyd Owen in Birmingham.
Urszula gains experience singing in opera, oratorio, on the concert platform and in recital. She performs regular concerts with an operatic ensemble Opera Emporio around the United Kingdom. Her operatic roles include Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro), 2nd Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Adalgisa (Norma), Azucena (Il trovatore), Mercédès (Carmen), Olga (Yevgeny Onegin), The Voice (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Santuzza and Lola (Cavalleria rusticana) , Charlotte (Werther), La Frugola (Il tabarro), Mrs Olsen (Street Scene), Nancy (Albert Herring), Popova (The Bear). Last but not least, Urszula performed as a soloist in Messiah (Handel), Coronation Mass (Mozart), Christmas Oratorio (Saint- Saëns) and in Domini est terra by Polish composer Marek Jasinski.
