Covered Covered & Performed Scenes Premiere of New Work Concert
British lyric soprano Camilla started her musical training at the University of Southampton studying English and Music and later on the Morley College Opera Course in London.
On the operatic stage her roles include Frasquita Carmen (Somerset Opera), Adina The Elixir of Love (Park Opera), Susanna The Marriage of Figaro (Kennet Opera), Servilia La clemenza di Tito (Red Earth Opera), Pamina The Magic Flute (Opera at Bearwood), Pitti Sing The Mikado (Bournemouth GaSP) and Lolette La Rondine (Opera Coast).
Opera scenes include AmenaideTancredi, Fiordiligi Cosi Fan Tutte, Phyllis Iolanthe, Mabel Pirates of Penzanze, Marzelline Fidelio, Lady Harriet Martha, Konstanze Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Micaëla Carmen and Elisetta Il Matrimonio Segreto. Camilla has been a chorus member in La Bohème and Tosca (Celebrate Voice Festival), Otello, Tosca, Suor Angelica and Il Trovatore (Dorset Opera), Romeo and Juliet (Riverside Opera).
She has appeared as a concert soloist for The Treasury Singers, Opera Foundry, The Royal British Legion, Opera at Bearwood, Celebrate Voice Festival Young Artists, Bournemouth Symphony Chorus BIG Sing, Riverside Opera, Pilgrim Singers, Riverside Singers, Budleigh Salterton Male Voice Choir and many local charities.
Camilla was awarded 'Bournemouth Singer of the Year' and at the Mid-Somerset Festival she has won both The Muriel King Vocal Award and The May King Award. These awards are for outstanding singing in a variety of opera, art song and oratorio classes.
Camilla teaches music part time in a secondary school whilst performing in concerts and on stage. She also continues to work with composers, singers and animateurs in primary and secondary schools to promote singing and performance skills.
