Soprano Magda Di Giacomo is the new revelation voice of Southern Italy. Alongside her piano and law studies she has a long-established career as accompanist.
This Summer she is debuting as Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro for the Etna Opera Festival in Italy after winning the Simone Alaimo Competition.

She was born in Tuscany in 1995 and she has been playing the piano since she was seven. After one year of study, she won the first prize at the “Camenae d’oro” competition, subsequently she won the 1st prize of several competitions: “Luigi Denza” competition in Castellammare di Stabia in both 2006 and 2007 editions, “Antonello da Caserta” competition, in both XI and XII edition of the national competition “Campi Flegrei”, in the 1st National competition “Città di Eboli” and in the “Città di Airola” competition both in 2011 and 2012 editions.

At the end of 2016, she started studying singing and since then she has been improving her skills under renowned artists such as Luciana D’Intino, Simone Alaimo, Ciro Visco, Francesco Pareti.
Recent highlights include La Traviata and La Cenerentola for Etna Opera Festival 2017, Aida for Europa Incanto at Teatro San Carlo Napoli 2018 and a UK Debut Recital at St Clement Danes Covent Garden in April 2017.
In August she will be a student of the Singing corses at the Academie d’ete’ in Nice, France.
