Welsh Soprano Ffion Edwards made her solo debut at the Royal Albert Hall in 2018 in the Festival of Massed Male Voice Choirs. Ffion is currently studying at the Royal College of Music, London for a Master of Performance with Dinah Harris, where she is an RCM Award Holder supported by the Joseph Clover prize. She is also supported by the Countess of Munster Musical Trust and was awarded the runner up prize in the Towyn Roberts Scholarship Prize to help with her studies in 2018. Ffion was awarded a first class degree for her Bachelor of Music with honours at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Ffion has won a number of competitions at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, including the Soprano aged 19-25 competition and she was also a finalist in the Osborne Roberts prize twice.
Ffion performed for His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales at his home in Llwynywermod in 2018. She had the opportunity of singing with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in the BBC Relaxed Proms in the Royal Albert Hall in July 2017. She was also a soloist in the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales St David’s Day concert in St David’s Hall, Cardiff. Ffion has been a member of the Welsh National Youth Opera since 2012 and has been involved in performances such as award winning ‘Paul Bunyan’ and ‘Kommilitonen!’.
Ffion looks forward to performing as 'Trio Member 1' in 'Trouble in Tahiti' (Royal College of Music) as well as covering the role of 'Susan' in 'The Dinner Engagement' (Royal College of Music).
