Freya is a soprano and director based in Manchester. Having recently graduated from The University of Manchester, she wishes to pursue a professional career in singing. Freya currently sings with choirs based in Manchester including Icosa, Manchester Chamber Choir, Manchester Oratory Choir and other ensembles. She recently performed as 'Woman 1' in the musical Songs for a New World and at the age of 11, had a solo role on the West End in The Woman in White. Freya also enjoys directing, having been assistant director for the World Premiere of a new professional opera, Mysterious 44, and has also directed productions of Handel’s Acis and Galatea and Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Mikado. She currently studies voice with Andrew Heggie. Freya is delighted to have been cast as Mabel in Pirates of Penzance with The University of Manchester's award winning Gilbert and Sullivan Society and she looks forward to a professional career in music!
