British Soprano Holly Czolacz gained her MA in Performance from the Royal Academy of Music, London in 2016 and has continued her Bel canto training in Italy for the past two years. Holly made her Italian debut on the stage of Teatro Rossini in February 2017 playing the role of Clorinda in Rossini’s ‘La cenerentola’. The Rossini Opera Festival and Conservatorio G. Rossini collaboration was curated by the late Alberto Zedda and conducted by Manlio Benzi.

While continuing her studies at Conservatorio G. Rossini, Holly received a scholarship to perform in the José Carreras Masterclass and was honoured to be selected by Maestro Carreras to sing in the concluding concert at Auditorium Pedrotti, under the baton of Daniele Agiman with the Orchestra Sinfonica G. Rossini. A 2017 winner of the renowned ‘Aurelio Burzi' Vocal Competition, Holly participated in a Masterclass with International Baritone Nicola Alaimo.

During 2017, Holly was a student in the Fondazione Teatro Donizetti and Accademia Teatro alla Scala collaborative Masterclass on Donizetti Repertoire and worked with Luciana Serra, Tiziana Fabbricini and Francesco Micheli and subsequently covered the role of Marietta in ‘Il borgomastro di Saardam’ in the 2017 Donizetti Opera Festival in Bergamo. Holly returned to the festival in 2018 performing with the acclaimed 'Quintetto Orobie' in 'Il volo del gufo' concluding their tour of Italy and Switzerland.

Holly made her debut as Violetta in Verdi's 'La Traviata' in September 2018 at Teatro Bonci in Cesena after competing for the role in Conservatorio B. Maderna's 'Primo Palcoscenico Concorso 2018' in association with the Emilia Romagna Teatro Fondazione. Holly prepared the opera, conducted by Paolo Manetti and directed by Gian Franco Zanetti, with international Baritone Alfonzo Antoniozzi. Holly participated in the Mariella Devia Masterclass in Florence in June 2018 at ‘Centro Studi Musica e Arte’ and was chosen to perform by the accomplished Soprano 'Ardon gli incensi' from 'Lucia di Lammermoor' in the public concert.

In March 2019 Holly performed the role of Gilda in Verdi’s ‘Rigoletto’ at Teatro Sociale di Stradella as part of the 2019 Festival del Ridotto and prepared the role with International Bass Giacomo Prestia as part of the Opera Studio at the Accademia del Ridotto.

In 2019, Holly looks forward to joining Les Azuriales Opera and London Festival Opera as a Young Artist and to returning to Italy to tour once again with Festival Suoni in Estate. Holly is generously supported by the John Wates Charitable Trust and the Mario Lanza Foundation.
