Katie recently graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Music and History from Cardiff University, and received the Sir Geraint Evans award from the Cardiff School of Music in recognition of her efforts and her final recital mark which was the highest in the year. Past roles include: Sorceress (Dido and Aeneas), Martha (The Secret Garden), Isabel (Pirates of Penzance), Kate (Pirates of Penzance), Peep-Bo (The Mikado), First Boy (The Magic Flute), First Lady (Magic Flute Opera Scenes with Welsh National Youth Opera), First Attendant (Fairy Queen) and Lady Jane (Patience). Katie has been accepted onto the Welsh National Youth Opera Course for the past two years, and has recently performed as Prison Guard/Chorus in their 2016 production 'Kommillitonen!'. Katie is also interested in backstage work, and has completed work experience with Welsh National Opera during their tour, and Opera Anywhere. She produced 'The Magic Flute', 'Fairy Queen' and 'Patience' for the Cardiff University Operatic Society; 'Fairy Queen' won three awards from the Cardiff Students Union, including Best Committee Member which Katie won for her role as Production Manager. Katie also won 'Officer's Choice for Outstanding Contribution' from the Cardiff Student's Union in her final year.
