British soprano Lucinda Cox was educated in Dorset before winning a choral scholarship to study at St Peter's College, Oxford. During her time at university Lucinda gave recitals in the Jacqueline du Pré Building, New College, and the Holywell Music Room, and performed Vivaldi's Nulla in mundo pax sincera with the Solis Ensemble.
In 2013, Lucinda was awarded a scholarship to study in Switzerland for a Master of Advanced Studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, where she was a member of vocal ensemble Alerĭon and medieval music ensemble Rumorum.
Alongside her work as a consort singer, Lucinda enjoys regular performances as a soloist in operas and oratorios. She most recently played the roles of First Witch and First Little Cupid in the New London Consort's production of Purcell's Dido and Aeneas and Blow's Venus and Adonis at the Bridgewater Hall, and the roles of Drusilla, Fortuna and Verone in Monteverdi's Poppea for Faded Ink Productions.
Lucinda regularly takes part in international tours. Her recent projects have included performing in Poland Spain and Israel with the Gabrieli Consort, Germany with Tenebrae, and Australia with the Fieri Consort, as well as a performance of Jake Heggie's opera Dead Man Walking with the BBC Singers at the Barbican Centre in London.
