Melanie Lodge- mezzo soprano

Melanie studied at the RWCMD and has worked with many companies including ENO, WNO, Scottish Opera and Wexford Festival Opera. Recently she made her Romanian debut performing Angel in The Dream of Gerontius with the Filarmonica Moldova Iaşi.

Recent roles include Emilia Otello, Waltraute Die Walküre, Carmen and Mercedes Carmen, Leila Iolanthe, Rosina The Barber of Seville, Kate The Pirates of Penzance, La Zelatrice Suor Angelica, Dritte Blumenmädchen Parsifal, Phoebe Yeomen of the Guard, Daphne Thespis, Pitti-Sing The Mikado, Beggar Woman Sweeney Todd, Olga The Merry Widow and Marthe Faust.

Roles created include The Dowager The Dowager’s Oyster (Grimebourne), Mother The Doll Behind the Curtain (Tête à Tête) and Elf Jack Frost (Saint John’s Smith Square).

Future work includes Zweite Knappe and Zweite Blummenmädchen Parsifal (Saffron Opera).
