Originally from Southampton, Rachel is in her second year of studying for a Masters in Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in Cardiff, under the tutelage of Lorna Anderson.

She completed a BMus degree at the London College of Music from which she graduated with First Class Honours in 2013.

Recent opera scenes roles have included Carmen (Carmen, Bizet) Iolanthe (Iolanthe, G&S) Suzanne (Louise, Charpentier), 2nd Boy (Magic Flute, Mozart) Soloist oratorio work has included; Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Missa Sancti Nicolai, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Mcdowell’s Ave Maris Stella.

Until September 2017, she had been a member of the Salvation Army's premier choir, the International Staff Songsters, since 2011, with whom she was a regular soloist. With them, Rachel has performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the O2 Arena and Birmingham Symphony Hall and also travelled to Argentina, Uruguay, United States of America, Norway, Kenya, Australia and New Zealand.

In September 2018, Rachel became one of the RWCMD 2018/19 recipients of the Jon Award and in addition to this she successfully auditioned for RWCMD’s Hire a Performer Scheme.
