Stacey Wheeler, soprano, hails from Indiana, Pennsylvania. She is a graduate of Stetson University and Florida State University. She presently studies with David Pollard. Her engagements have been worldwide and include the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chatelet Theatre in Paris, and the Aspen Music Festival. Her roles include Tatyana Eugene Onegin (Opra Cymru) and Queen of the Night Die Zauberflöte (Oyster Opera at St John Smith Square, and the Stephen Pimlott Foundation). Stacey has performed on the television programme Noson Lawen, S4C. In 2007, Stacey won first prize in the Soprano Solo Over 25s Competition at the National Eisteddfod and has since performed as a guest soloist with the Colin Jones Singers, the Llanelli Male Voice Choir, Aberdare Male Voice Choir, and the Brythoniaid Male Voice Choir. Additional roles include Rosina Il barbiere di Siviglia, Zerlina Don Giovanni, Karolka Jenu˚fa, and Laura Luisa Miller. Recently, Stacey was a chorister in Lohengrin, Moses und Aron, and Nabucco, I Parenthesis, and Cavelleria Rusticana with Welsh National Opera. She is also an accomplished recitalist, oratorio, and concert singer. She currently resides in Cardiff.
