Covered Covered & Performed Scenes Premiere of New Work Concert
Urszula Bock (mezzo-soprano) was born and raised in Poland. She moved to UK to study singing at Birmingham Conservatoire where she completed BMus (Hons) (Voice) under Margaret Field and MMus Performance & Pedagogy (Voice) under Christine Cairns. At the Conservatoire she was a competition finalist in: Mario Lanza Opera Prize (2012), Birmingham Conservatoire Singing Prize (2012), Ashleyan Opera Prize (2012) and Reginald Vincent Lieder Prize (2010).
Urszula sang as a soloist in Coronation Mass (Mozart), Christmas Oratorio ( Saint- Saëns) and in Domini est terra by lesser known Polish composer Marek Jasinski.
Operatic roles include Adalgisa (Norma), Mercédès (Carmen), Antonia’s Mother (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), 2nd Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Lola (Cavalleria rusticana), Marcellina (Le nozze di Figaro), Nancy (Albert Herring), Olga (Eugene Onegin), Popova (The Bear), La Frugola (Il tabarro) and Mrs Olsen (Street Scene). Future engagements include Azucena (Il trovatore), Mother and Witch (Hansel and Gretel).
Urszula is currently studying with Richard Lloyd Owen.
