Honey Rouhani recently made her debut at the King’s Head Theatre as Musetta in a radical new production of Puccini’s La bohème directed by Adam Spreadbury-Maher, the Opera Magazine described her as ‘A supremely entitled and Manipulative Musetta’. In June 2016 she also made her debut at the Barbican, premiering her father’s, Mehran Rouhani, ‘Love & Peace Quotes’ commissioned by the UNICEF as part of the ‘Children of War’ concert with the Docklands Sinfonia.
The British/Iranian graduated from the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in Vocal Studies (Opera) where she was a scholar supported by the Leverhulm trust, studying with Alison Wells.
Honey enjoys a busy life on the opera and recital stage in the UK, Europe and recently in Dubai.
Other performances include ‘Epic Persia’ at the Cadogan Hall (Docklands Sinfonia), premier of Babak Kazemi’s ‘Ode to Peace’ (Cadogan Hall), Josephine in Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore (ELOC), Musetta in Puccini’s La bohème (Dulwich Opera), Sandman and Dew Fairy in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel (Opera in Space) Magda in Puccini’s La Rondine (TCM), Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro (TCM) and recitals in the UK and Europe.
