“Henry Grant Kerswell, as the scheming Count Moranzone, excelled in the small church space with his booming theatrical bass, with all the rolling "r"s and spat consonants of a man bent on revenge. “ Bachtrack (2024)
“a finely-honed performance from Henry Grant Kerswell “ Operawire (2023)
“Henry Grant Kerswell, who possesses infinite presence, plays the studio manager and thus makes two Hitchcockian cameos in the roles of Benoît and Alcindoro” Music OMH (2023)
"The cast is superb, and several performances stand out in particular.. Henry Grant Kerswell, with his immensely powerful bass, gives a convincing portrayal of one who truly loves Freia, and who knows the only power he has is that of reason. Thus, as he passionately argues his case, even quietening Fafner when he interjects, one can see his desperation as deep down he knows this will never be enough against the wily gods." Sam Smith The OMH (2022)
"The staging is best when it speaks plainest: Henry Grant Kerswell's childish, needy Fasolt, the giant who just wants a cuddle, is a lovely creation" Neil Fisher, The Times (2022)
"This is world class opera" George Hall The Stage (2021)
"Among the other roles, Gavan Ring stood as Juan (one of Dulcinée’s many suitors) and Henry Grant Kerswell, whose fruity French diction as the bandit leader was spat out with filthy glee" Mark Pullinger Bachtrack (2019)
"There was real menace in Henry Grant Kerswell's raspy delivery of the Bandit King’s spoken lines" Cathy Desmond , Irish Examiner (2019)
"Energetically sonorous" Opera magazine. Yehuda Shapiro (2017)
"Romina Tomasoni as Matrena and Henry Grant Kerswell in the part of Kritzloff deserve mention" José M. Irurzun, Seen and Heard International (2017)
"Henry Grant Kerswell delighted me in every brief moment" Hilary Finch, The Times (2010)
