After earning a degree in Management, the french soprano Carole Sidney Louis dedicated herself to the singing. Finalist at the competition of the "Chambre Professionnelle des Directeurs d'Opéra" in Paris, she joined the Strasbourg National Opera’s “Jeunes Voix du Rhin”. Her career began singing roles like Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni ; Prima Ancella at the Montpellier Opera in Cherubini’s Medea (Ursel and Karl Ernst Hermann’s Production); Despina, Cosi fan Tutte by Mozart, Juliette, Roméo et Juliette by Gounod; Il Cavaliere Armidoro in La Cecchina ossia la Buona Figliola by N.Piccinni; the triple role of Frau/Sie/ Grossfürstin in Das Wachsfigurenkabinett by K.A.Hartmann; Iphigénie in Iphigénie en Aulide by Gluck... She sang regularly in different Festivals: Fiordiligi in Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte conducted by Yannis Pouspourikas; Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni de Mozart; Micaëla, Carmen by Bizet; Donna Elvira, Don Giovanni by Mozart; Marianne, La Chatte métamorphosée en Femme by Offenbach (Festival de l’île d’Yeu). She first performed at the Metz Opera in the role of Adriana, the lead role in the worldwide premiere of Charles Chaynes’s opera Mi Amor under the musical direction of Arturo Tamayo. She was immediately reinvited to sing Mimi in La Bohème by Puccini…
Now as a dramatic soprano, she sings roles like: Die Frau in Erwartung by Arnold Schoenberg in New York-Times Square (Artistic director: Robin Rhode, Performa Festival); Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini (Viterbo Opera); Santuzza in Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana in Palermo (Teatro di Verdura- 2019) under the musical direction of Francesco Di Mauro. She is now preparing (among others) Elektra and Ariadne auf Naxos by Richard Strauss for 2022.

Carole Sidney Louis also performs regularly in concert with internationals orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (Musica Viva Reihe); the Hessicher Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra (Bruno Maderna’s Ausstrahlung); the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra (Rainy Days Festival); the RAI National Orchestra of Torino (Offrandes by Edgard Varèse); The Soloists of the Frankfurt‘s Radio Symphony Orchestra; the Lecce Symphonic Orchestra (Les nuits d´été by Hector Berlioz); the Prague Symphony Orchestra (the Poèmes pour Mi by Olivier Messiaen); The Plural Ensemble (El Cántico by Gonzalo de Olavide) at the Reina Sofia’s Auditorium in Madrid; the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra (Erwartung by Schoenberg); the Granada Symphony Orchestra (Second string quartet, version for String orchestra by Arnold Schoenberg and Paraiso Cerrado II by José María Sanchez-Verdú in world-wide premiere 2012); the Orchestra Comunale del Teatro di Bologna (Erwartung by Schoenberg and Isoldes Liebestod); the Portugese Symphony Orchestra and the Choir of the Teatro Sao Carlos (Elisabeth, Die Legende von der Heiligen Elisabeth by F.Liszt, Lisboa ); the Tenerife Symphony Orchestra (Erwartung by Schoenberg, the International Music Festival of the Canary Islands 2017), the Ensemble Novecento e Presente (Elisabeth, Elegy for Young Lovers by Hans Werner Henze, Erwartung by Schönberg, Fredons by Betsy Jolas 2018. She sang at the Festival de Musica religiosa 2019 Poèmes pour Mi and Chants des Terre et de Ciel by Olivier Messiaen. She will sing the lead role Salud in La Vida Breve by De Falla with the Berlin’s Konzerthausorchester (2023).
Carole Sidney Louis has recorded several CDs: Bruno Maderna’s Ausstrahlung for Voice, Flute, Oboe and Orchestra with the Hessischer Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra for the label Neos; Estigma and Concertante-Divides by Gonzalo de Olavide, the Scherzo for Voice and Orchestra by Gerardo Gombau and Zu zer dezu by Felix Ibarrondo (released 2021) with the Madrid RTVE Symphony Orchestra for the label Orpheus.
She lives actually in Germany (Berlin).
