Born and raised in Texas, Amy Farnell holds a BM in Church Music from Baylor University where she sang with groups like Texas Baroque, Baylor Early Music Ensembles, and even Tallis Scholars, as a part of Carnegie Hall's Renaissance Masterworks. She then moved to England to earn a MA in Early Music from the University of Birmingham where she sang with groups such as Ex Cathedra, Evoke, and Ecclesia. Afterwards she traversed to Switzerland where she earned a BA and MA in Medieval & Renaissance Vocal Performance from Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.

Amy is currently studying at Renaissance Ensemble Performance at SCB, and is a voice student of Dr. Prof. Katarina Livjanic. She currently performs regularly with ensembles such as the Zurich Chamber Singers, La Cetra Vokalensemble, Junger Kammerchor Basel, Verba Vocalis, Ad Parnassum Productions, La Fiamma, ReRenaissance, and others. In her free time she enjoys yoga, knitting, exploring Switzerland, and researching early music.
