Swiss Soprano, Martina Küng studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff with Anne Mason and Prof. Suzanne Murphy in a PGDip in Vocal Performance (2016-2018).

At the college, Martina gains first experiences in opera performing and makes her debut as the 1st Nursemaid in Kurt Weill’s Opera “Street Scene" at the Sherman Theatre in Cardiff (2017). She workes with conductors such as Carlo Rizzi, Wyn Davies and David Jones and gets valuable coachings with John Fisher, Michael Pollock, Donald Maxwell and Simon Lepper. In 2018 Martina graduates successfully at the College and finishes her studies with the role of Papagena in Mozart’s Opera “The Magic Flute” at the Sherman Theater in Cardiff, UK.

Her previous experience mainly focuses on Konzertfach. As a soloist she sang Shakespeare scenes at the Zurich Festival, Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s St. Matthews Passion with the Cappricio Baroque Orchestra, Carl Orff's Carmina Burana at Stadttheater Winterthur and was a soloist in Beat Furrer’s acoustic theatre “Fama” (composed 2004) at Tonhalle Zurich.

She is a member of the internationally renowned vocal ensemble “Collegium Vocale Gent” and the Swiss ensemble “The Zurich Chamber Singers”.
