Sorelle - A Review Firstly, let me just say that I'm not an opera fan. I've been to a few, and I'm not really bothered either way: take them or leave them. So I went to listen to Sorelle perform not because I was especially looking forward to the singing, but because I wanted to support my friend Megan. (Sorry Megan, but there you are!) With that in mind, let me tell you how astonishingly good the trio are, and how much I thoroughly enjoyed the concert. Sorelle presented us with a variety of pieces that ranged from the classical to the more contemporary. The arrangements were skilfully crafted so that we heard their voices to best effect, and each of the sopranos also gave us a solo rendition, all equally mesmerising. The three women - Megan Strachan, Katie Blackwell, and Olivia Bell are extremely talented, and presented songs with imagination, flair, and an obvious joy for their art which was completely infectious. I would recommend seeing them to both opera enthusiasts and non-aficio (2019)
Patience told the story of her child hood love with sincerity. The singing from both principals and chorus was of a high standard. Megan Strachan gave a gentle interpretation of Patience Mills caught up in the romantic struggle between love and duty. (2014)
