"Bloor and Lovelass are a dream duo; we’ll hear far more of them. Their handling of complex material, Lovleass singing too, is a delight to hold this tapestry taut... Cocky couldn’t have been premiered with two more stunning actors..." (Simon Jenner, Fringe Review - Cocky & the Tardigrades, Brighton Fringe) (2022)

"Grace’s operatic singing voice is an absolute surprise and a joy." (Brian Butler, gscene - Cocky & the Tardigrades, Brighton Fringe) (2022)

"We really enjoyed working with Grace in Heber Opera’s performance of ‘Martha’ by Flotow. Her lovely voice and spirited characterisation of ‘Nancy’ were just what we were aiming for, and the overall ensemble with the other soloists worked really well." (Michael Withers, Heber Opera - Martha) (2022)

"...Grace Lovelass’ Olga was gleefully easy in presence and vocal capacity." (Cherwell - Eugene Onegin) (2019)

"...their fourth is Grace Lovelass’s opera singer, in glorious voice, enchanting the whole café with her evocative aria to the lover’s keepsake that is her ring. " (Jewish Renaissance - The Ballad of the Cosmo Café) (2019)

"We first heard Grace singing at a friend’s landmark birthday event and as a result cast her in the lead in our 2021 Brighton Festival show Exit The Queen. As well as performing, she was required to sing a range of known arias, from Verdi’s Lady Macbeth to Purcell’s Dido’s Lament. At the 2022 Brighton Festival, she again played a leading roll in Cocky and the Tardigrades, this time singing contemporary music both solo and in a comedy double act. On both occasions she was hugely entertaining, thoroughly professional, and a great company member. We recommend her highly." (Faynia Williams & Richard Crane, Brighton Theatre)

Grace Lovelass is an operatic mezzo-soprano who has sung Romeo in I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Red Earth Opera), Marthe Schwerdtlein in Faust (Opéra de Baugé) – for which she was awarded the Gil-Rodriguez scholarship, Adalgisa in Norma and Nancy in Martha (both Heber Opera), Olga in Eugene Onegin (Oxford Alternative Orchestra) and Tisbe in La Cenerentola (Opera Kipling and Red Earth Opera), as well as the Sorceress/Spirit in Dido & Aeneas, Third Lady in Die Zauberflöte, Olga/Margot in The Merry Widow and Flora in La Traviata.

As a concert soloist she recently sang Candelas in Manuel de Falla’s El amor brujo with Oxford University Sinfonietta and in 2022, premiered the role of Mary Magdalene in a new Passion setting under the baton of David Ogden and the City of Bristol Choir.

An energetic and versatile entertainer, Grace recently debuted her one-woman show Disgraceful as part of Dorchester Arts‘ summer programme. Billed as “the rebellion of an off-duty opera singer”, this mix of opera, parodies and impersonations was developed with support from the Sanctuary scheme at Lighthouse – Poole’s Centre for the Arts.

Grace combined her singing and acting talents on stage as Queen Bee in Exit the Queen – a fringe creation from Brighton Theatre and a role written for her. She returned to Brighton Fringe in 2022 as Tamburlaine in Cocky & the Tardigrades. This year, she made her Edinburgh Fringe debut as lead role, Glory in Are you worthy? – a new musical penned by bass player and singer/songwriter Grant Sharkey.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Grace joined the cast for the Virtual Opera Project‘s award-winning production of L’Enfant et les Sortilèges – a collaboration with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.

She performed under the direction of Pamela Howard OBE as part of Bernstein in Chichester 2018 and more recently, in singspiel scenario, The Ballad of the Cosmo Café.

Originally from Bedfordshire, Grace read Classics at King’s College London, taking lead roles in the annual King’s College Greek Play performed in ancient Greek.

Formerly a public relations manager, Grace made her classical/operatic debut at the Bournemouth Music Competitions Festival in 2015. On her return to the festival in 2016, she won first place in five classes, taking home the Dudley James Cup for Opera, Muriel Segal Cup for Lieder and Elizabeth Parkinson Cup for Oratorio.

Grace was awarded an artist development bursary from Purbeck Art Weeks and received an overwhelming response to an online Crowdfunder campaign, funding her studies in Opera at the Associated Studios. She gained her first experiences on the professional opera stage with Dorset Opera Festival.

Grace lives with her husband in Dorset, close to picturesque coastal landmarks, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.

A keen triathlete, she swims, cycles and runs along the South Coast. Grace is a two-time IRONMAN having recently recorded a personal best at Barcelona 2023. She documents her athletic endeavours in Trioomph – the podcast and is frequently booked as a public speaker to talk about her life as a singer and athlete.

Grace is also a trained dancer and has competed in ballroom and latin at the world famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
