Joe is a singer, actor-musician and composer from South Devon. A recent graduate of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, where he studied with David Pollard for singing, and with Dr Laura Bowler & Malcolm Singer for composition. Joe’s performing credits include the Thursford Christmas Spectacular, Guys and Dolls in Concert with the London Philharmonic, BBC Songs of Praise, Best of Rock Musicals (Eventim Apollo), West Side Story, Grimeborn Festival (Arcola Theatre), and in recordings for Kathrine Jenkins Guiding Light & Cinema Paradiso (Decca).

Joe is currently appearing in the National Gilbert & Sullivan Festival in the company for The Mikado, HMS Pinafore and Patience playing from the 31st August at the Buxton Opera House & from the 8th August at the Royal Hall, Harrogate.

As a composer Joe is is currently developing a new musical: If So & So What Though?, which recently premiered above the Arts Theatre in London. and wrote the score for Mitten Hands and the MisMatched Band with playwright Jade Greene for a workshop at Drama Centre in 2018. Joe’s shakespearian song-cycle One in Ones Time combines texts from a variety of plays and sets a narrative to Jacque’s As You Like It monologue ‘All the Worlds a Stage’.

Contributing to education, Joe is currently working with Snaresbrook Prep School, KM Music School and Stagecoach Performing Arts Islington. Joe’s studies at the Guildhall School have been generously supported by the Really Useful Group and the Guildhall School Trust.
