New Zealand baritone Kieran Rayner studies at the Royal College of Music International Opera School with Russell Smythe supported by the Basil Coleman Opera Award, and by Help Musicians UK (Sybil Tutton / Felicity Guinness awards). He is a Samling Young Artist 2017, a Britten Pears Young Artist 2018, attended the 2017 Internationale Meistersinger Akademie with Edith Wiens, and winner of Emmy Destinn Czech Song Prize 2017. Roles include Forester Cunning Little Vixen (RCMIOS 2017, British Youth Opera 2015), Demetrius A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Le Mari / Le Directeur Les Mamelles de Tirésias, Pausanias Une Éducation Manquée, Gustavo Faramondo, Nardo La Finta Giardiniera, Eisenstein Die Fledermaus, Vicar Gedge Albert Herring (RCMIOS); six roles English Eccentrics (British Youth Opera); Figaro Barber of Seville (Park Opera).
