What is on offer?
The Emergents programme is part of the Drake Music Collective – our professional development programme for Disabled musicians.
This year, we will select 5 Emergent artists.
The main programme runs from January 2027 to May 2027, with a showcase event in October 2027.
If you are selected as an Emergent you will get:
A £1000 creative bursary to support your future goals and creative ideas.
A £500 development bursary, to support you to take part in our online creative development programme.
An opportunity to showcase your work to an audience of industry professionals at a hybrid in-person/online event in October 2027 (date to be confirmed).
There will be two development sessions per month. The sessions will be held online on a Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm. The sessions will include:
3 training sessions about topics related to the music industries.
3 discussion sessions to explore creative ideas.
3 group mentoring sessions with an experienced musician.
1 networking session with other musicians and Drake Music staff.
Who can apply?

This opportunity is open to music creators who are:
Disabled.
Live in England.
Are at least 18 years old.
Available to attend the online development sessions on Tuesdays from 6pm to 8pm.
We particularly want to hear from you if:
Being on the programme will make a big difference to your career.
It would be difficult for you to take the next step in your music career without the bursary and support.
You are from the global majority, trans, non-binary, a woman, part of the LGBTQIA+ community, and/or from a low-income background.
We are committing to awarding at least 3 bursaries to people from the global majority.

Send us your completed expression of interest form by Tuesday 4th August.
We will email you the application questions on Thursday 6th August.
Submit your application and diversity monitoring form by Wednesday 9th September.
