Aaron is a classical baritone from the coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales and is currently in his third year at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire where he is under the tutelage of Welsh baritone, Gwion Thomas. During his time at the conservatoire he has had the pleasure of being mentored by repetiteurs Paul Wingfield, Robin Bowman and Rosalind Jones.
Aaron regularly performs in recital concerts around Birmingham with a diverse range of repertoire from Vivaldi, to Brahms, to Finzi. He also sings as a soloist for oratorios and mass settings such as Handel’s Messiah, Fauré’s Requiem, Mozart's Coronation Mass, to name a few.
Aaron works regularly as a conductor, rehearsal pianist, pit orchestra player and as a musical director. Aaron works closely with community choirs helping to coach the singing and provide confidence for performances.
As a musical director and performer of musical theatre, Aaron has recently been involved with Little Shop of Horrors, Edges, The Addams Family, Into The Woods, and he has originated new roles for the composer Joel Hall.
As a classical baritone, Aaron has performed a variety of roles that have shown a multitude of different sides to his characterisation. His most recent opera credits include Gontran in Offenbach's La Vie Parisienne, Papageno in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Edmund Bertram in Jonathan Dove's Mansfield Park (RBC), Guglielmo in Cosi Fan Tutte (Opera Novello) and Luka in Walton’s The Bear (Dafne Opera). Along with these roles, Aaron has also had the opportunity to explore the following roles in Opera Scenes; the Count in Le Nozze di Figaro, Maximilian in Candide and Masetto in Don Giovanni.
Aaron’s future projects include the role of Figaro in Le Nozze di Figaro with Somerset Opera.
