Alex Bevan, a young British lyric tenor, is firmly establishing himself as one of the finest tenors in the UK. The winner of the Norman Mcann Scholarship and a recipient of the Elton John scholarship during his time at the Royal Academy of Music, he graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Opera School in 2019 with a sizeable scholarship from Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Trust. He has performed at many of London’s more prestigious concert venues as a soloist such as St Martin-in-the-Fields and St John’s Smith Square and recently performed the Verdi Requiem at the McEwan Hall in Edinburgh. Alex’s operatic engagements include working at Grange Park Opera, Garsington Opera as an Alvarez Young Artist and Scottish Opera performing the Opera Highlights tour. Operatic roles include The Ringmaster (Cover) in The Bartered Bride with Garsington Opera, Le Mari in Les Mamelles des Tiresias with RCS Opera, Neptune in The Enchanted Island with British Youth Opera, Julian in Louise and Ruggero in La Rondine with OperaCoast. In his free time Alex enjoys hiking, baking sourdough and contemplating the realities of owning a dog.
