Australian-American tenor Alexander Papandrea is an emerging artist from Los Angeles, California. Alexander has appeared in roles such as Tamino in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Camille in Lehár’s The Merry Widow, Frederic in Gilbert & Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance, and Orpheé in Charpentier’s La descente d’Orphée aux enfers . In addition to standard repertoire, Alexander has been heavily featured in World Premieres: as Don Carlos Carla Lucero’s Juana, and as Ludwig in Janice Hamer’s Lost Childhood. Alexander was also a part of the Soldier’s Chorus in Music Academy of West’s production of Jennifer Higdon’s opera, Cold Mountain. Papandrea will return to the stage as the Erste Gralsritter in Wagner’s Parsifal at the Goetheanum in Dornach, Switzerland this spring.
