Born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Nashville, Ally has always had music in her blood, whether it be blues, country, pop or classical. She grew up singing pop and jazz but wasn’t about to stop there – soon she transitioned into musical theatre and opera as well. Her diversified music background informs her approach to classical traditions and opera performance particularly, distinguishing her wholly original sound.

The 24-year-old soprano is a student at the Royal Academy of Music, pursuing a Master of Arts in Voice Performance. She is the recipient of the Fernside Award, a prestigious half-scholarship funded by a private donor. She was recently accepted into the selective Preparatory Opera cohort, which allows 12 Master's students to work collaboratively with Royal Academy Opera in their productions and scenes programmes. Previously, she earned her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She is an alumna of the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, the Honors Carolina Burch Musical Perspectives program in London and Florence, and the Tennessee Governor’s School for the Arts. Opera credits include Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges (La Princesse/Le Feu), Handel’s Alcina (Oronte/Morgana cover), Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Peaseblossom/Tytania cover), Weill’s Der Jasager (Student One), and Meredith Monk’s Atlas (Gwen). She recently performed 'Sophie' in the Presentation of the Rose duet from Der Rosenkavalier (Strauss) as well as 'Lucia' from The Rape of Lucretia (Britten) and 'Gretel' from Hänsel und Gretel (Humperdinck) in scenes programmes. Upcoming engagements include '1st Niece' in Peter Grimes (Britten) in concert with the Kensington Symphony Orchestra as well as revisiting the role of 'La Princesse' from L'enfant et les sortilèges (Ravel) with Royal Academy Opera.

Recently, Ally placed first in the Mid-Atlantic Regional NATS Vocal Competition in America, after placing first in the North Carolina state division of the competition. She also became a finalist in the 2021 American Prize competition for opera/operetta performance. She has participated in masterclasses for Isabel Leonard, Lucas Meachem, and Alexandra LoBianco. She is a fervent believer in the transformative power of music to move the human heart, unite the human spirit, and celebrate the human condition.
