Amelia Jones is a compelling vocalist known for her crystal clear tone and expressive delivery. Born in Wales - the land of song, and brought up in Australia, Amelia has ample diverse experience on stage and in the recording booth.
Amelia has been heard on an international scale for her work as a vocalist on video games and Japanese anime productions. Significant appearances include the beloved ‘City of Tears’ from Australian video game Hollow Knight, which has amassed almost 18 million streams on Spotify, ‘Falling Through Starlight’ from Japanese anime The Rising of the Shield Hero, several tracks from Made in Abyss, and several tracks from recent smash-hit indie game Slay The Princess with a soundtrack by American composer Brandon Boone.
Her 2019 performance in UnderSCORE, the first symphonic concert to solely feature game music by Australian composers to an audience of 5000 people, established Amelia’s place as a "strong vocal presence in Australian video game music" (ABC Classic). Amelia has continued her passion for performing live Video Game Music onto the UK stage, with a recent guest vocalist appearance with The London Video Game Orchestra to sing suites from Hollow Knight, Frostpunk and BioShock Infinite. Amelia had her debut performance with internationally acclaimed Irish vocal ensemble ANÚNA at the Fleadh Cheoil festival 2022, who perform soundtrack music in their ongoing repertoire.
Amelia is regularly engaged as a solo recitalist, a chamber singer and chorister. A recent recital in Bristol Cathedral offered an eclectic programme including Fauré, jazz standards, Radiohead, contemporary Australian art song, and well-loved video game and anime pieces.
Since returning to the UK from Australia in early 2023, Amelia has appeared as a soloist with the London Video Game Orchestra, the English Symphony Orchestra and Southbank Sinfonia.
