London-based Brazilian baritone André Andrade is a former student of Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, currently studying under the tutelage of Robert Dean.
In opera productions, André has performed roles including Morales/Dancaïre (Carmen, Rogue Opera), Nabucco (Brent Opera), Ottokar (Der Freischütz, Blackheath Halls), Leporello (Don Giovanni, Hornton Chamber Orchestra), Surgeon (Stephen McNeff’s Banished, Trinity Laban), Mr. Gobineau (The Medium, Clockwork Opera) and Servo/Sicario/Bard (Macbeth, Midsummer Opera). He has also sung in the chorus of Winslow Hall Opera’s Il Trovatore, OperaGlass Works’ The Rake’s Progress and Blackheath Halls’ Carmen.
André has also been active with companies such as Opera Foundry, OperaCoast, Opera Integra and Puzzlepiece Opera, where he appeared in opera scenes performing roles such as Don Giovanni, Leporello, Figaro, Count Rodolfo, Eugene Onegin, Don Pizarro, Sachs, Devil (Cherevichki) and Mizgir (The Snow Maiden)
In the coming months, André will appear as Escamillo/Dancaïre (Rogue Opera), Roucher (Andrea Chénier, Midsummer Opera) and Leporello (Rogue Opera).
