L'incoronazione di Poppea, Hampstead Garden Opera: "Jessica Thayer, Angelica Conner and Charlotte Levesley keep the scene light, entertaining and fun, singing parts, which are not the easiest to sing.” – Trendfem (2017)

Born and raised in London, Angelica is an Italian-American mezzo-soprano currently studying under the tutelage of renowned soprano Nelly Miricioiu. In 2015, she received an upper second-class honours degree in French from King’s College London. She previously studied voice at Junior Guildhall and then privately with Lyndon van der Pump.
Most recently, Angelica attended AIMS International Music School on a scholarship where she sang the role of La Messaggera (L’Orfeo, Monteverdi) and the role of Idamante in a staged scene of Idomeneo (Act 3, scenes 2 and 3, Mozart). She was also chosen to participate in the Celebrity Masterclass with world-renowned mezzo-soprano Dame Ann Murray. Further stage experience includes the roles of Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia, Rossini) at the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival in Sicily, Nancy (Martha, Flotow) with Brent Opera, Damigella & La Virtù (L’incoronazione di Poppea, Monteverdi) with Hampstead Garden Opera, Flora (La traviata, Verdi), La badessa & La maestra delle novizie (Suor Angelica, Puccini) at the Mediterranean Opera Studio and Festival and Prince Orlofsky in a staged scene of Die Fledermaus (Act 3 Finale, J. Strauss) with King’s Opera.
Angelica has participated in master classes led by Jennifer Larmore, Salvatore Fisichella, Mariella Devia and Tanja Baumgartner, and has worked with international conductors including Jonathan Santagada, Oliver John Ruthven and Leonardo Catalanotto.
Her passion for singing started at a young age. Angelica was a chorister with Finchley Children’s Music Group for seven years. With them she performed in some of the most prestigious venues in the UK, including the Barbican, the Royal Festival Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, the Globe Theatre, Wembley Stadium and solo at St John’s Smith Square. She attended Highgate School, where she was awarded a music scholarship. While at Highgate, she performed in St Mark’s Basilica in Venice and sang soprano soloist in Bach’s Wachet Auf, ruft uns die Stimme and Mozart’s Requiem KV 626.
