Anna-Luise Oppelt is an internationally acclaimed mezzosoprano born and based in Berlin/Germany and was awarded with the OPUS KLASSIK in 2022.
As soloist she performed at Beethovenfest Bonn, Thüringer Bachwochen, Musikfestspiele Potsdam-Sanssouci, Konzerthaus Berlin, MDR Musicsummer, Weserfestival, Köthen Bachfestival and Berlin Philharmonic with the Karajan-Academy. In 2024 she performed the Alto Solo in Mahler´s 3rd Symphony in Berlin. In contemporary music, she is regularly collaborating with foundation St.-Matthäus-Berlin, Guardini-foundation and Salzburg Festtage Alter und Neuer Musik; here she performs many world premieres of chamber music and solo voice written for her.
In opera, she performed Bradamante in Händel´s Alcina in 2023 with Ensemble OrQuesta/UK. Other roles are 3rd Lady in Mozart´s Magic Flute, Lucie by do Nascimento, Wilhelmine in Künneke´s Vetter aus Dingsda, Mrs. Peachum in Britten´s The Beggar´s Opera and Moon-Woman in the world-premiere of Andrew Norman´s A trip to the Moon with Berlin Philharmonic directed by Sir Simon Rattle. In 2022 she has sung Waltraute in Wagner´s Götterdämmerung, Charlotte in Massenet´s Werther with Theater-Werkmünchen and Lola in Mascagni´s Cavalleria Rusticana with Opera Incognita Munich.
She is co-founder of Bach by Bike, concerts and cycling tours along the places of Johann Sebastian Bach´s life. Bach by Bike was awarded with the OPUS KLASSIK Innovation Award for Sustainability in 2022. She is committed to interdisciplinary and international cultural exchange and was a grantee of Culture Moves Europe and a resident artist of the Post Truth Project Germany in 2023. In 2024 she is a fellow of Mozartfest Würzburg and Residency Artist of Culture Moves Europe.
Anna-Luise achieved her BA and MA voice-degrees at HfM Weimar, after studying baroque violin in Utrecht (The Netherlands) and a violin/teaching diploma at HfM Detmold. Masterclasses include Ingeborg Danz, Christa Ludwig, Teresa Berganza, Petra Lang and the Bach Academy Stuttgart. She is currently coached by Lioba Braun.
