After his studies in Lyon with Marcin Habela, French baritone Benoît Déchelotte graduated with an MPerf at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Samantha Malk and Stephan Loges where he is now a vocal fellow. He was also an Académie Philippe Jaroussky young artist in 2022-2023. He had the opportunity to study in masterclasses with Tobias Truniger, Kamal Khan, Julia Bullock, Richard Hetherington, David Gowland, and Craig Terry.
On stage, he sang Guglielmo in Cosi fan tutte (Les Escales lyriques), Escamillo in Carmen (St Pauls Opera), Belcore in Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore (Longhope opera), Chairman Walsingham in Cesar Cui's A feast in time of Plague (Oxford Opera Society), Le Cicérone in Jean Françaix's Paris, à nous deux! (Guildhall brass department), Ben in Menotti's The Telephone, and Valentin in Hervé's Petit Faust.

He was awarded the Grand prix des maîtres du chant 2023 in Opera comique, 2nd prize men at Canari International vocal competition, 2nd prize at the Edith Poulsen competition in 2023 and 2nd young artist prize at the generalist international competition Jeunes talents en
Normandie 2022. He was a finalist at the Vivonne competition in 2021. He is also a recipient of the prestigious International Opera Award foundation bursary.
Benoît began studying the piano at the age of 5 and then turned to the organ with François Ménissier at Rouen Conservatory, where he graduated in 2013. A finalist in 2017 at the international Grand Prix d'orgue Jean-Louis Florentz, he graduated with honours the same
year in Eric Lebrun's class at Saint-Maur-des-Fossés conservatory. He is now performing regularly as a soloist or accompanist.
