An advocate of art song, Ms. Bourg won the BU at Carnegie Competition in January of 2020 to perform Tom Cipullo's song cycle Late Summer in Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall, coaching privately with the composer in preparation. In 2019, she was a winner of the Ellalou Dimmock Honors Award, performing a recital of music including Samuel Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915. In the spring of 2019 at BU, she appeared as the Young Vixen in Janacek's The Cunning Little Vixen, a co-production with the Glimmmerglass Festival, directed by E. Loren Meeker. Ms. Bourg was also the first ever Apprentice Artist at the Ravinia Steans Music Institute, working with Kevin Murphy, JJ Penna, and Helmut Deutsch, among others, in the summer of 2018. While at BU, she has participated in masterclasses with Warren Jones, Roger Vignoles, and Alan Smith. She has also attended the Curtis Institute's Mikael Eliason Summer Voice Program and the SongFest Institute. Ms. Bourg has sung roles in scenes such Norina in Don Pasquale, Giunia in Lucio Silla, Euryanthe in Weber's Euryanthe, and Eurydice in Orpheus in the Underworld.
