Catrin was raised in Aberystwyth and read music at Jesus College, Oxford where she played the piano and the violin. She completed the vocal MMus course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2012 and studies with Theresa Goble.
Last year, Catrin made her role debut as Pamina in a regional tour of The Magic Flute and revived the roles of Miss Pinkerton (The Old Maid and the Thief) and Amahl (Amahl and the Night Visitors), all for Opera Anywhere. She also made her debut with St Albans' Chamber Opera singing the roles of Sandman and Dew Fairy in their production of Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel.
Previous roles include Despina (Jackdaws OperaPlus), L'enfant (RWCMD), First Boy (Brent Opera), Miles (Cooper Hall / Bath Philharmonia), and Sandman and Dewfairy (Cooper Hall / Bath Philharmonia). She has sung in the chorus for both British Youth Opera and Garsington Opera, and in 2009 was selected to give a recital at La Mortella, the Italian home of the late Sir William Walton.
Catrin is currently performing the roles of Kate (The Pirates of Penzance) and Peep-Bo (The Mikado) for Opera Anywhere's regional tour. Future plans include the role of Adele (Die Fledermaus) for St Albans' Chamber Opera, Lily (Lily and Bear) for Irrational Theatre, and further revivals of The Magic Flute and Amahl and the Night Visitors.
Catrin is a Cooper Hall Emerging Artist and, together with The Leading Ladies, she is a member of the Live Music Now scheme.
