Cinzia Zanovello was born in Zurich and moved to Vienna in 2015, to study with Sylvia Greenberg and Michail Lanskoi. In 2022 Cinzia made her debut at the Volksoper Vienna in Benjamin Britten's "Death in Venice"; a coproduction with the Royal Opera House and shortly after as Valencienne in "The merry widow". This role she will soon be performing also in the national opera of Beijing.
The coming season brings the soprano to the Vienna State Opera, as the second cast of the main role in the new opera "Electrical fish" by Hannah Eisendle.
Cinzia is a frequent guest in her native Switzerland as a soloist in masses and concerts, including Mozart’s "Requiem" under the direction of Andreas Reize. Further, in the framework of the Mozart Orchestra, she will regularly be performing at Vienna Musikverein.
She won several prices and scholarships, such as the renowned Otto Edelmann Competition, the Fidelio competition and Osaka International Music Competition.

Cinzia’s keen interest in directing led to several engagements as Assistant Director and furthermore she speaks fluently German, Italian, English, French, Icelandic and rudimentarily Russian.
