Hong Kong born and raised Soprano Colette Lam has been awarded with Distinction in Master of Art in advanced Vocal Studies in Wales International Academy of Voice in Cardiff under the of renowned TenorDennis O’Neill and awarded Merit in Master of Music in Performance ( Voice and Dissertation) in the Royal Academy of Music in London. Lam has sung leading operatic roles including Adina, Juliette, Micäela, Pamina, Rosina and Violetta with companies namely, Musica Viva, Opera Hong Kong, Zeist Music Festival in Netherland, Brent Opera in London and Opera Lyrica in Oxford. Organised and Funded by HAB and LCSD, Lam has recently toured with other local musical talents to Almaty, Kazakstan and with Chinese ensemble group “Artemisia” to European cities including Berlin, Budapest, Hamburg, London, Moscow and Warsaw. With funding support from ADC, Lam has been invited by Musica Viva to perform in St. John’s Smith Sqaure in London, Elena Obratvova cultural centre in St. Petersburg and Saigon Opera House in Ho Chi Minh City under the Baton of Hans Richter. Lam has also worked with local company including Hong Kong Art Festival, Hong Kong City Chamber Orchestra, Learner’s Chorus, Hong Kong Bach Choir as soloist since 2011.
