Daisy is a 25 year old mezzo-soprano from Staffordshire Moorlands. She is currently studying for a Master of Music at the RNCM, under the tutelage of Sam Queen.
Previously, Daisy was an undergraduate scholar at the Royal Academy of Music. Recent engagements include; Kate in Britten’s Owen Wingrave (RNCM), Lazuli in Chabrier’s L’etoile (RNCM), Nicklaus in Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffman (Preston Opera). Daisy was a 2023 Young Artist at Waterperry Opera Festival, performing in the chorus of Bizet’s Carmen. She also performed various roles in several scenes performances: Nancy (Albert Herring, Britten), Idamante (Idomeneo, Mozart), Sally (A Hand of Bridge) and Third Lady (Die Zauberflöte, Mozart). Previously, Daisy performed at the Grange Festival 2021 in A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Britten.
Daisy was a finalist in both the Frederick Cox Prize for Singing 2024 and the Joyce and Michael Kennedy Award for the Singing of Strauss. Daisy looks forward to joining the Buxton International Opera Festival as a Young Artist for the 2025 season.
She is grateful to the Annie Ridyard Scholarship for support of her studies.
