Drucilla Lindsay, Mezzo-Soprano

Drucilla Lindsay is a New York–based mezzo-soprano recognized for her expressive musicality, dramatic sensitivity, and stylistic versatility. She recently performed the role of Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) with Saluzzo Opera (2025) and has previously appeared as La Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro at Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado in Milano, Italy.

Her operatic repertoire includes Ruggiero (Alcina), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Ilia (Idomeneo), Servilia (La clemenza di Tito), Rodelinda (Rodelinda), and Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare).

She has a particular affinity for Baroque repertoire, bringing stylistic clarity, textual sensitivity, and ornamentation informed by historical performance practice to her work.

In 2025, Ms. Lindsay competed in the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, Philadelphia District.

An active concert soloist, she has appeared with organizations including Vox Philia, the Lisette Project, and Mt. Olive Baptist Church & the NAACP, and has been featured in performances highlighting 19th-century Haitian classical music, reflecting her commitment to underrepresented repertoire and scholarly-informed performance.

Ms. Lindsay is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Vocal Performance (Classical Voice and Opera Studies) at New York University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Voice) with a minor in Pre-Law from The Lincoln University of Pennsylvania and completed additional studies abroad in Milan at the Civica Scuola di Musica Claudio Abbado.

In August 2026, Drucilla will perform as Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Vienna Opera Festival in Austria.
