Swedish soprano Elisabeth Hellström studied voice teaching at The University College of Music Eudcation in Stockholm 2009-2012 (bachelor degree) with Bo Rosenkull as her main voice teacher. After that she continued with one year of part time studies at the Stockholm Operastudio 2012-2013. She then decided to switch focus to early music and historically informed performance practice and studied both bachelor and master at The Royal College of Music in Stockholm 2017-2023. Her teachers during these years were Susanne Rydén, Kristina Hammarström and Lena-Susanne Norin. She was also an Erasmus-student in Leipzig in 2019-2020, where she was in the class of Gundula Anders.
Elisabeth has been a freelancing singer since 2021, mainly in early music, but she is also a member of the vocal ensemble of the Royal Chapel in Stockholm. She has also sung in high-level amateur choirs, such as St. Eugenia Vocal Ensemble in Stockholm (conducted by Ulf Samuelsson), where she was a member for more than 10 years. She has all the major early music-works on her repertoire, both as a soloist and chorus (see website for full list of repertoire).
Elisabeth is fluent in Swedish and English. She also has very good knowledge in German and Italian, as well as good basic French.
