Emily is an engaging classical artist from Yorkshire, England. She recently made her professional opera debut as Principal Chorus in A Masked Ball with Opera on Location. Further opera performances include Donna Elvira, Don Giovanni excerpts with York Opera, Hänsel und Gretel (Chorus), Dialogues of the Carmelites (Chorus) at RWCMD, and The Enchanted Pig (Mab), as well as the world premiere of Murphy and Attridge's Arc 23 (Doctor Fischer) with Leeds Youth Opera. Furthermore, scenes roles have included Frasquita (Carmen), Mrs Fiorentino (Street Scene), and First Lady (Die Zauberflöte). Recent engagements include the Victorian Ballads recital with Leeds Heritage/Leeds Libraries, performing music not heard in one hundred plus years, where Emily was featured singing on ITV GMB Calendar News and BBC Radio Leeds. She's a sought after recitalist and oratorio singer, with recent events including Classical Sheffield's Festival weekend, Fox Valley Festival opera galas, and solo engagements such as Kleine Orgelmesse (Haydn), Mass in G (Schubert) and Gloria (Vivaldi). She’s held scholar positions at Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir and Cardiff Oratory. Emily's training includes Masters at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Undergraduate at Leeds Conservatoire and courses at the Universität Mozarteum Salzburg. Moreover, musical work has included opera outreach, school music outreach, world premiere composition performances, and singing tuition at Crank Studios. Additionally, Emily works as a musical director, previously directing Masbrough Community Choir for six years, and recently taking the podium at Batley Community Choir, providing accessible music opportunity for all.
