Emily is a young English soprano. Emily completed her postgraduate training at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2015, under Leah-Marian Jones, and now continues to train privately with Gail Pearson. Emily has experience across operatic, oratorio, choral and musical theatre repertoire. Oratorio performances include Bach's St. Matthew Passion, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, Fauré's Requiem, Brahms' Requiem, Handel’s Messiah, Saint-Saens’ Christmas Oratorio, Verdi’s Requiem, Mozart’s Requiem and Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor. Operatic highlights so far include Anne Trulove (The Rake's Progress, 2015), Cendrillon (Bute Park Opera, 2015) Flora (The Turn of the Screw; RWCMD, 2014), Cathleen (Riders to the Sea; Bute Park Opera, 2014), Lucy Lockit (The Beggar’s Opera; King’s Opera, 2012) and First Lady (The Magic Flute; King’s Opera, 2012). Emily has been employed in music education roles by companies including BBC Music, Welsh National Opera Max and the Barbican Centre. She is an experienced chorister, having performed as a scholar, semi-chorus member and soloist with The Choir of King’s College London, Llandaff Cathedral Consort and the BBC National Chorus of Wales. A vivacious and charismatic consort and event singer, Emily is a principle member of Blossom Street and is the current Soprano 1 Fellow with St Martin-in-the-Fields.
