Emily Williams is a 23-year-old British-American soprano in her final year of undergraduate Vocal Studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under the tutelage of Sarah Pring. She recently performed as First Priestess in ‘Iphigenia in Tauris’ at Blackheath Halls alongside Francesca Cheijina, directed by Laura Attridge. In a review of the performance by Robert Hugill (Planethugill), Emily was described as having sung “with style and elegance, whilst hinting at a sense of underlying passion” and described as a “standout” by The Stage in their four-star review of the production.
Most recently, Emily received 2nd Place in the annual Hearn Foundation Competition. She looks forward to singing La Princesse in Ravel’s ‘L’Enfant et Les Sortilèges’ this July in her final production at Trinity Laban before beginning her master’s at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
