Fiona Tanner Baldwin has established herself over the last twenty years as a well-known and respected soprano in all aspects of vocal performance, most notably in opera and the concert platform.

Amongst the many roles she has performed on stage are Fiordiligi, Rosina, Countess (le Nozze di Figaro), Adina, Violetta, Hélène, Mimi, Norina, Pamina, and Madama Butterfly in concert. More recently Fiona has spent much time studying the key roles of the great Bel Canto composers.

Fiona has always had a great interest in all the oratorio repertoire, in particular Handel and Bach and has had extensive experience performing the works of these composers.

Fiona has sung at a variety of events including the European Space Agency (Frankfurt), Houses of Parliament (London), on the Orient Express, etc., performing for such luminaries as the King of Jordan, Elton John, Matthew Parris, Aldo Zilli, and Placido Domingo, drawing from her extensive repertoire that spans the Classical, Romantic, Contemporary and Musical Theatre divides.

A former graduate of City University and Guildhall School of Music and Drama (1998), Fiona has carved a hugely successful career as a musical entrepreneur. Inspired by a deep passion for opera and an unstoppable desire to share the magic of the genre with all, Fiona founded Garden Opera in 1994 with mezzo-soprano Jane Haughton, and Oyster Opera in 2001. Fiona continues to work on vocal development with David Pollard.
