Freya studied at University of York (1st class Hons) and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, achieving Distinction for her MA and MMus. She regularly performs with BBC Singers, London Voices, RSVP, Philharmonia Voices, and Jervaulx Singers. Recent Opera/Operetta credits include Musetta (La Boheme), Fanny Price/Julia Bertram (Mansfield Park), Cherubino (Marriage of Figaro), Principessa (Suor Angelica), Hansel (Hansel and Gretal), Amastris (Xerxes), Dido and Sorceress (Dido and Aeneas), The Mother (Amahl and the Night Visitors), 2nd Lady/2nd Boy (Magic Flute), Iolanthe (Iolanthe), Hebe (HMS Pinafore), Katisha/Pitti-Sing (Mikado), Edith (Pirates of Penzance) and Lady Jane/Lady Angela (Patience). She has also performed with Birmingham Opera Company in Stockhausen’s Mittwoch aus Licht, recorded hundreds of film and video game soundtracks (including for Marvel, Disney, DC, Netflix, Jurassic World, Fantastic Beasts, James Bond, Dune, Alien, Hobbit and Hunger Games series). She has recently branched out into the field of musical theatre, playing the title role of Mrs Pack for Three Chairs and a Hat at the Camden Fringe, and Cathy Hiatt in The Last Five Years for Sinodun.
Future projects include singing Flora in La Traviata with Wedmore Opera, and completing her training as a Laryngeal Massage Practitioner.
