Harrison Morton-Deaville is an award winning English Operatic baritone. He’s
delighted to be starting 2025 with performing as Henry VIII, King of England in
Donizetti’s Anna Bolena with Red Earth Opera.
Last summer’s performances include principal chorus in Verdi’s A Masked Ball, with
Opera on Location in Sheffield. In 2023 Harrison performed with The Edward Grieg
Kore and Soloist Roderick Williams, Elgar’s The Apostles with the Hallé orchestra
under Sir Mark Elder, and The BBC Proms Royal Albert Hall Ligeti’s Requiem with The
London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Edward Gardener. In Opera Scenes,
his roles have included Arlecchino in Le Donne Curiose, Frederick in Lakme, Vespone in
La Serva Padrona. Count Almaviva from The Marriage of Figaro.
Oratorio solos and other performances include Handel’s Messiah and The Creation Haydn.
Harrison is also a deputy Lay Clerk at Manchester Cathedral Choir and was a
Choral Scholar with Salford Cathedral Choir, performing as Jesus in Stainers
Crucifixion in 2024.
As a competition winner at the Royal Northern College of Music his awards
included The Alexander Young Award 2023, James Martin Oncken 2023, Highly
Commended, Elie Thurston 2022, Highly Commended, and Outstanding Vocal Award
at Chetham’s School of Music. At the RNCM Harrison was generously supported
with the Edward Milner Scholarship.
Harrison currently studies with Andrew Heggie and divides his time between
London, Solihull and Manchester.
