Isabella Moore is an award-winning soprano of Samoan heritage born in Aotearoa, NZ now based in London, UK.
She made her UK operatic and role debut singing Gutrune in the GAFA Arts Collective production of Wagner’s Götterdamerung. Her operatic repertoire includes Suor Angelica in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Giulietta in Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann, Gulnara in Verdi’s II corsaro, Leonora in Verdi’s Il trovatore, Desdemona in Verdi’s Otello and Hine-nui-te-pō from New Zealand composer Celeste Oram’s opera, He Pūtōrino Mākutu for the San Diego Symphony and more recently Elle in Poulenc’s La voix humaine (The Human Voice performed in English) for Pegasus Opera.
Isabella is the winner of the 2015 Joan Sutherland & Richard Bonynge Bel Canto Award, winner of the 2014 Marianne Mathy Scholarship, winner of the 2014 New Zealand Aria Competition, and winner of the 2014 New Zealand Lexus Song Quest Competition.
She has worked world-renowned opera industry professionals including Montserrat Caballé, Marilyn Horne, Renée Fleming, Angela Gheorghiu, Sondra Radvanovsky, Sir Richard Bonynge and Danielle de Niese.
Isabella performs regularly for high profile events such as The Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey in the presence of the British Royal family and dignitaries of the commonwealth nations (March 2024) and the 75th Anniversary Celebration at Lancaster House (Sept 2024). On both occasions she had the honour of representing the island national of Sāmoa. Most recently, she represented Sāmoa in New York, performing a Sāmoan song at the re-opening of the Arts of Oceania gallery in the Michael C. Rockefeller Wing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
In August, Isabella performed as one of four soloists for the Annual Pegasus Opera Gala in London with the Brixton Chamber Orchestra. Recently, she was a guest artist at the OperAffinity Festival in Todi, Italy where she performed in multiple concerts over the week-long festival.
As well as being an operatic soprano, Isabella is an international fashion model signed to agencies in London, the U.S.A, Canada, Sweden, Australia and New Zealand. In August, a docuseries called Cutting the Curve was released, which follows her career as she tries to navigate the lack of size-inclusivity and diversity in the fashion industry.
