Isobel Hughes is a 27-year-old mezzo soprano from North London. They have been studying under the tuition of international mezzo soprano Anne Mason since 2018, having recently graduated from the David Seligman Opera School at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in July 2024. Isobel has sung roles with Cardiff Cotswold Opera and Hurn Court Opera, as well in the chorus of Welsh National Opera’s Young Company, the New Generation Festival, and Dorset Opera. Their recent roles include Rosina in Cardiff Opera’s production of Rossini’s 'Il barbiere di Siviglia' and Hermia in the RWCMD’s production of Britten’s 'A Midsummer Night’s Dream'.
