Isobel Hughes is a high-energy lyric soprano from North London. She began singing with the Finchley Children's Music Group at age seven and has never looked back. Since then, Isobel has performed with many well established choirs such as the Rodulphus Choir and the Bach Choir, however her real passion lies in opera and solo performance. In recent years, Isobel has performed with both the Dorset Opera Festival and the New Generation Festival. This Christmas, she will also be performing as a chorus member in Trinity Laban's production of Thea Musgrave's "A Christmas Carol" as well as understudying the role of Mrs Cratchitt. Isobel's excitable yet unflappable nature gives a fun, easy note to her performance and, while she is a soprano, the warm-mezzo like quality in her voice makes for and enjoyable listen. Isobel is currently in her fourth year of undergraduate at Trinity Laban and is studying under the watchful eye of Anne Mason.
