Grantham born baritone, Jack Lee is currently in his first year of a Postgraduate degree at the Royal Academy of Music under the tutelage of Giles Underwood and Chad Vindin. This summer he completed his undergraduate degree at RAM and graduated with a First Class Honours. Jack is very grateful to have his masters degree supported by the Countess of Munster Musical trust and a scholarship from the Royal Academy of Music.
Earlier this year Jack was due to perform the role of the Vicar in Royal Academy Opera’s cancelled production of Albert Herring. Jack has also performed the role of Papageno at the Uppermill Summer Music Festival and the Cricket in Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen. In competitions he has won places to perform in the Finals of the 2019 Bath Opera Isobel Buchanan Opera Award and the cancelled 2020 Hurn Court Opera Singer of the Year Award.
Jack has given recitals throughout the UK, most recently performing Schumann’s Liederkreis Op 39 at the Royal Academy of Music and performing a selection of Benjamin Britten’s compositions at The Red House, Aldeburgh. His solo concert engagements have included; Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Creation, multiple Bach Cantatas and Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis.
Upcoming engagements include Royal Academy of Music Opera scenes performing the roles of Figaro, Belcore and Marcello and a lunchtime recital at Southwell Minster.
