Jessica Edom-Carey is a 24 year old soprano from Essex, UK. She decided to make music her career at 15 years old when she began vocal tuition with Angela Bostock. She has sung at many of the major London venues including Royal Albert Hall, Royal Festival Hall and St Paul's Cathedral. Jessica also held the title of Essex Rotary Musician and Singer of the Year for three consecutive years.

Jessica is currently studying for her Masters in Vocal Performance at the Royal College of Music under the tuition of Tim Evans-Jones. During her undergraduate degree, she sung Ravel's Daphnis et Chloé under the baton of Haitink, Stravinsky's Les Noces with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Petrenko and represented the college in Paris, singing Schöenberg's Gurrelieder with the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Esa Pekka Salonen.

More recently she has been working locally and further afield as a soloist, working with a broad range of music from Gilbert and Sullivan to semi-staged productions of Mahler's Des Knaben Wunderhorn and Schumann's Myrten with Roger Vignoles. Jessica's favourite art form is opera and she has performed scenes from roles including Dalinda (Ariodante), Atalanta (Xerses) and Helena (A Midsummer Night's Dream). She was also due to be performing in British Youth Opera's 2020 season, in their production of Les Mamelles de Tirésias. However this was cancelled due to Covid-19.

Future engagements include opera scenes in the roles of Miss Jessell (The Turn of the Screw) and Laoula (L’étoile) and performing the role of La Cercatrice in Suor Angelica.
