Jessica Hackett is a lyric soprano from Co. Meath who is currently in her final year of her MA in Opera Performance in conjunction with the Dvid Seligman Opera School in the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. She is inder the tutelage of Colette McGahon Tosh and John Fisher. A former member of the Northern Ireland Opera Studio, she has played several leading roles all over the country and has been awarded from various competitions over the last number of years. Her most notable award was 2016 ‘Best Female Singer’ in AIMS for the role of ‘Mabel’ in The Pirates of Penzance, followed by a 2017 nomination as ‘Sarah Brown’ from Guys and Dolls.

Theatrical and Operatic engagements include: Calisto in Daphnis et Chloé (Northern Ireland Opera), Mouse in Pamplemousse (Northern Ireland Opera), Johanna in Sweeney Todd (Northern Ireland Opera), Gilda (cover) in Rigoletto (Northern Ireland Opera), Soprano 2 in Vivaldi’s Gloria (Northern Ireland Opera), Fanny in La cambiale di matrimonio (Northern Ireland Opera), Cendrillon in Cendrillon, (North Dublin Opera), Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls (T.M.S), Semi-Chorus Dream of Gerontius (Maynooth University), Christine Daaé in Phantom of the Opera (F.A.C.T) (S.E.T.G), Johanna in Sweeney Todd (C.M.D.S), Fantine in Les Misérables (M.S.P.A), Cinderella in Into the Woods (S.E.T.G). Featured soloist in MU Chamber Choir World Tour.
